Private Partnerships

Partners

RAPIDS’ success has come in part through our ongoing commitment to forming meaningful private partnerships. While U.S. Government (USG) funding represents a considerable investment towards improving the lives of Zambians affected by HIV/AIDS, additional resources are needed to provide the full continuum of care for clients.

The additional funds and in-kind donations we receive are enabling RAPIDS to complement USG funding and significantly improve the depth, reach and quality of the program.

Examples of a few of our private partnerships include U.S. based Hasbro Corporation providing both cash for educational activities and in-kind resources in the form of toys and games, World Bicycle Relief (SRAM Corp.) supplying 23,000 new bicycles for caregivers and OVC, and private funding from Global Business Coalition Against HIV, Malaria and TB member companies to purchase (with additional USG funding) 500,000 Insecticide treated bed nets to protect our clients from malaria.

With our 18,516 volunteer caregivers in all nine provinces of Zambia directly reaching the most vulnerable households across the country, we offer our partners significant leverage and unparalleled reach and scale for making a difference. We also understand that partnership is a two way street and are well prepared to provide partners with the reports, photos, and access need to share their story with various stakeholders.
